Historical Figures
Dilanael's history is full of interesting people. This place is dedicated to commonly known figures who can give you an idea of what sort of legends you're living under.

Madras Whitefire: The founder of the Whitefire line of sorcerer kings. Madras united the various human tribes under one banner and founded the nation of Samia. Madras is recorded as the first human sorcerer and is reputed to have been the most powerful sorcerer to have ever lived.   he is credited with the invention of everything from fire to civilization to magic.

The Firelord: A figure from fairly recent history, the Firelord was a dissenter of the crown from Banion Brock. He had gathered loyal men and favors to himself in preparation for a war, but in the aftermath of the Orc Incursion, he struck, seeing opportunity. While most defenses were turned, the Firelord and his forces marches around the west side of the Creeping Wood and toward the Capital of Samia. He initiated a ten month seige of the Capital and in the end it was winter, more than military might, that wore him down. His men could not endure the freezing conditions out in the lands around the capital and there were not enough farming communities nearby to support his troops. A quarter of his troops died in that winter and come spring, the Firelord was nowhere to be found. Some believe that he died in that cold winter as well, but others beleive that he left his men to die and waits somewhere to try again.

Brynnoch:  This historical figure was known as a clever trickster and a sly thief.  His stories tell of his ability to trick both gods and men to get what he wants, which is usually something selfless and beneficial (such as food for orphans or horses for poor farmers).  He was said to carry a dagger which never missed it's mark and many heroes have died or given up trrying to find it over the years.

Wilbur of Newstall:  A great and powerful warrior from dark in the annals of history, Wilbur was one of hte first men credited with having mastered the art of battle.  He is reputed to have fought and killed a hundred red dragons during "The Purge", when Wilbur, Madras, and Brynnoch purged the curse of dragons (specifically red dragons) from the world.
